The Department of Educational Development is one of the pioneering academic units of the University of Baltistan, Skardu, Pakistan. It is dedicated to promoting excellence in teacher education, educational research, and professional development within the regional and national context. The department aims to produce competent teachers, teacher educators, educational managers, and leaders equipped with relevant knowledge, pedagogical skills, ethical values, and a strong foundation in research and scholarship.
The department currently offers BS Education, B.Ed. Education, and MPhil in Education programs in line with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. These programs are designed to integrate theory with practice, fostering critical thinking, reflective practice, and innovation among students. Through its academic and research initiatives, the department contributes to improving the quality of education and addressing contemporary educational challenges at both regional and national levels.
