Introduction
The Department of Computer Science, is one of the pioneer department of the University. The department was established in 2012 in the Karakoram International University, Skardu campus which, later reconstituted as University of Baltistan, Skardu in 2017. Computer science is the study of the theory, experimentation, and engineering. It is an exciting, growing, challenging and one of the most demanding field in the world. The degree in Computer Science not only provides foundational knowledge of the filed, it also leads to the highest-paying, fastest-growing jobs globally. The Department is equipped with a Computer lab with latest PCs, high-speed internet, and verity of books in the library. Our main objective is to prepare our students for their future careers in industry and research. We offer market-oriented courses aligned with HEC curriculum to achieve the objective of producing highly talented computer professionals for the job market as Software Engineers, Entrepreneur, and academia professionals.
